Consolidated QA Checklist (List in Progress)

This article compiles specific checks mentioned throughout the standards that QA should perform.

Text & Typography

  • Periods used only in paragraphs or on-screen instructions
  • Titles capitalize first word and proper nouns only
  • Grant Thornton specific capitalization preferences followed (e.g., entity, environment not capitalized). Flag any inconsistencies
  • Font family is GT Walsham (LC/LC Light) consistently
  • Bolding applied correctly (Light font, never LC)
  • Minimum font size is 13pt. Flag text that appears too small
  • Slide headings have a 2pt size difference from body text
  • All text is editable (not rasterized)
  • Font remains editable after importing
  • Notes spacing is 0pt before/after, single-spaced with extra line between paragraphs
  • Notes font is GT Walsham LC, 14.5pt, color #464646
  • Second level bullets use dashes (-)
  • Spacing between bullet/dash and text does not exceed 22pt. Flag incorrect spacing

Visuals & UI Elements

  • Visual elements are equally spaced, same size, aligned, and centered. Consistency across slides. Flag if "a pixel off"
  • Grant Thornton logo appears only in the menu, not on content slides
  • UI elements (buttons, radio buttons, checkboxes) match specified styles, colors, and formatting
  • Rectangles are squared off or have minimal rounding (3-5px). Rounded interactive rectangles are closer to square
  • Interactive elements have appropriate hover states. Hover states are consistent within context
  • Icons have consistent outline/inner weight and appearance on a slide

Player & Navigation

  • Modern light player with GT purple accent is used
  • Required tabs (MENU, SCRIPT, RESOURCES, GLOSSARY, HELP, EXIT) are included and in the correct order/position (MENU/SCRIPT left, others right)
  • Seekbar is draggable for internal review. (Restricted for final LMS)
  • Seekbar and Script button are hidden on slides with no audio
  • Seekbar on feedback layers without audio is not moving
  • Seekbar timeline aligns closely with audio duration
  • Resources tab is always included
  • Program PDF (slides and script) is attached to Resources tab (after beta), named correctly, and is the top item
  • All resource links work correctly
  • Help trigger works. Glossary trigger works if present
  • Menu structure is accurate: not every slide is included, levels are correct (Scene=1, Content=2, Activity=3)
  • Excluded items are not in menu (Help, Glossary, extra scenes, final ack/integrity slides)
  • Scene names (except first) are deleted, subsequent scenes start with slide number
  • Menu order is correct and consistent. Flag menu skipping/disorganization. Slide numbers show in correct order
  • Navigation buttons appear only when appropriate. No Prev/Next on first or results slides
  • Next button is hidden initially on activity slides
  • Next button appears immediately when revisiting completed activity slides
  • Replay function starts slide from beginning

Technical Functionality

  • Slides advance automatically after audio if no interaction required
  • Next button logic is correctly implemented for activities (hidden until completion)
  • Revisit behavior is correct (resets state or shows completed). "Reset to initial state" setting used for interactive objects
  • Visited/completed states used for activity items
  • Feedback layers do not cover the question or user's answer
  • Feedback layers prevent base layer interaction
  • Feedback layer visual standards followed (colors, outlining, masking)
  • Hide instructions/Submit button on feedback layers. Change Next button state on feedback layer
  • Assessment functionality: correct/incorrect answers tested, scoring calculation is accurate, 70% pass rate, 3 attempts, failure options tested
  • Interactions (click/reveal, drag/drop, etc.) function as intended, including states, feedback, and completion logic
  • Check specific interactions: Verify all parts are clickable/drawable, states change as expected, feedback is correct, completion triggers next button, revisit behaves correctly

Publishing & Final Preparation

  • Menu/Assessment settings correct for internal review (Restricted/Random or All-separate publish)
  • Menu/Assessment settings correct for client review (Free/Show All)
  • Menu/Assessment settings correct for final LMS (Restricted/Random Draw)

  • LMS package and cleaned source files uploaded to correct SharePoint location
  • Source files are cleaned (drafts, unused assets deleted) before handover. Final Storyline file labeled as final
  • Folder moved to 'completed modules' on SharePoint
  • Teamwork status updated to "final"
